Alpha Nu Chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority was chartered in 1962 in Springfield, Ohio. We embrace the spirit of our founders, Violet T. Lewis and Elizabeth Garner which are Peace, Harmony, Refinement and Culture.
 
HERSTORY
 
Gamma Phi Delta Sorority was founded February 1943 at Lewis Business College.  The founders were Elizabeth Garner and Violet T. Lewis.  Violet T.Lewis was the president of the college.  There were 13 Original Pearls who established the sorority. There are 26 charted Pearls who signed the Articles of Incorporation on file with the State of Michigan.
 
                                            PURPOSE
  • To unite fraternally for charitable, educational and fraternal purposes; to establish and maintain active chapters throughout the United States.
  • To foster the improvement of the educational and vocational status of young people, with special emphasis on underprivileged youth.
  • To assist said youth through broadening their educational objectives by encouragement, dissemination of information and financial assistance; and to promote the beneficial use of acquired education and/or training to the best of the community.
